Hideki Aoyama was born on August 29th, 1986 in Kanagawa prefecture (same as Yui!). He is the son of a known drummer in Japan, Jun Aoyama, who passed away in 2013. He also lost his brother in 2018, just a week before his birthday, on August 21st.

His first show for BABYMETAL was in early 2013, it was LEGEND Z. Since then, he has been BABYMETAL’s go-to drummer, playing 195 shows for them. Though he hasn’t played outside Japan with BABYMETAL since Brixton 2019.

He still has projects outside BABYMETAL, one of the most important being JAM Project. He actually may be hard to recognize for some that haven’t seen him outside BABYMETAL.
