BABYMETAL has finally announced their for-so-long teased World Tour Final. A surprise to many, it will be held in in the southwestern tip of the Japanese archipelago in Okinawa, where BABYMETAL perform for the first time!
For many the venue selected by BABYMETAL is quite a surprise, since it’s quite small for a BABYMETAL tour final at this stage, with a capacity of only 5,000. It’s also especially odd that they chose one located so far from the Japanese central island of Honshu. The the last time they played a headline show in Japan, but outside of Honshu, was back in 2015 in Fukuoka.
The ticket sales will be as usual, first for THE ONE members (though it’s required to be a member of both THE ONE 2023 and 2024), then open to all. This time they also have special “43 tickets”, for those under the age of 22.
We had already been teased before after ads started running on TV in Okinawa after New Year’s with the BABYMETAL members appearing.

Okinawa TV Ad
Before being officially announced on the BABYMETAL website and their social media, an ad had played on TV in Okinawa on January 1st.
Meaning of Shisa (43)
Regarding the meaning for 43: 4 in Japanese could be said as “shi” or “yon”, and 3 can be said as “san”, so it’s a play on words by putting them together.
Also, “Shisa” is a traditional Ryukyuan cultural artifact and decoration derived from Chinese guardian lions, often seen in similar pairs, resembling a cross between a lion and a dog, from Okinawan mythology. Shisa are wards, believed to protect from some evils.
