The 2025 edition of BABYMETAL’s membership program has been announced.
The basics remain the same, it lasts from April 2025 to March 2026, and includes the same benefits such as a METAL name, access to exclusive ticket lotteries for shows in Japan, access to exclusive merchandise on BABYMETAL’s official store in Japan (A!Smart), and the official Discord.
The signing up procedure has changed once again, however. Last year they had implemented a digital membership option, essentially being able to become a member without ordering a product. Many foreigners especially appreciated this option, as it meant not having to pay high shipping and import costs for a product they may not want, with the option to still buy the item for those who wanted it, albeit… at a much higher price (¥8,750 vs ¥4,500).
For this year, the membership sign up now goes back to including a physical merchandise item (a T-shirt), which needs to be shipped. There is no digital-only option anymore. There are positives and negatives. On the one hand, it’s a boon to foreigners who must once again pay for high shipping and customs fees, as they had in the past, plus on top of this the price went up, from ¥4,250 last year without a tee to ¥5,500 this year with a tee. On the bright side, if one wants the t-shirt, the price difference of ¥1,250 is more than acceptable, especially considering last year the only way to get the t-shirt was to pay a much higher ¥8,750 (over double what the membership used to cost just years before). Additionally, the code is not sent with the t-shirt, it is still sent through the website, so no nervousness of waiting until you get the physical code to enjoy membership benefits.
There is still a high price option though, for ¥8,000 fans can get the same t-shirt, but in gold instead of red. It also comes with a physical THE ONE ID (a first for the membership), but it does not come with your METAL name engraved. This option is available exclusively to THE ONE 2024 members.
For current non-members who are interested, you will have to purchase the “regular” t-shirt starting April 1st.

- Register for “THE ONE”
- Please register “THE ONE” using “ACCESS CODE” from “THE ONE Account Setup” page which will be available from Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.
- Your METAL NAME (from THE ONE 2024) can also be transferred at this point.
To register for THE ONE, you need to create an A!-ID and A Wallet account (free of charge).
- If you wish to transfer your past “THE ONE” or “A Wallet” information, please register with the “A!-ID” you have been using. If you have not transferred your “METAL NAME” or “A Wallet”, please note that we will not accept any changes.
