The awaited TV performance has just been shown online and on TV. SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and Avenger MOMOKOMETAL performed 2 songs (“PA PA YA!!” and “Gimme Chocolate!!”) with the Japanese Kami Band, and after Su and Moa were interviewed by the hosts of the show.
Sadly, fans did not ask them the questions or get to interact/show their reaction to their performance, unlike the other artists.
Another odd thing is that BxMxC was performed (given one of the press release pictures shown a couple of days ago), so it was apparently cut?
Update: BxMxC was cut from the broadcast. The interview itself was also cut. This was confirmed by TV Guide. The full broadcast will be shown on NHK General, NHK BS Premium, and NHK BS4K (in 4K quality) at a later (not yet announced) date. Sadly this means that it will not be done over the internet for free.
This was the first performance for BABYMETAL in over 7 months, the last being Moscow, Russia as the last show of the first leg of the European tour. The Asian tour, European tour, and some teased events (such as XX DAY) were all cancelled or not announced in the end.
You can find the full original broadcast on their website (BABYMETAL starts at 23:20).
If you missed it, it will be shown again at 14:10, 19:10, and 26:10 hs. (Japan time).

They also offer an app, and you may have the channel on your local TV.⠀
Many complained of the low quality on the stream, so another option is using this link on your preferred player (such as VLC).

Interview
They were asked what they felt is the reason to becoming a global success, and what the moment was when they felt they had become a hit overseas. One of the hosts also stated that what’s unique is that their music is metal but their dancing is cute. Lastly since they couldn’t travel abroad as much as planned in 2020, they were asked what message they had for overseas fans.
To this last one Moa replied (in Japanese):
Right now we’re all feeling uncertainty and stress. By listening to metal and shouting along, I hope you feel better. Metal has that kind of musical power, so listen to our music and stay positive.
And Su added (in English):
We appreciate everyone for supporting BABYMETAL. We are very excited for our 10th year. Please check out our best album and online events coming up soon.
Update: the full interview features more questions and answers, such as talking a bit about BxMxC and PA PA YA!!, their overseas activities, and performing on TV. Here is an excerpt from TV Guide, machine translated:
About their overseas activities, MOAMETAL said “It’s been 10 years since we formed, but we’ve been to so many countries.” SU-METAL said: “We’re happy to see our fans waiting for us there, so we’re going to continue to do our best to meet people in the countries we haven’t met yet. Yes! I am very happy to have this opportunity, and I hope you will stay healthy until the day comes when you can enjoy music with a smile again. I think our “metal” music is very energetic and empowering, so I would be happy if our music can make you smile and cheer up a little bit! and sent a message to fans around the world.”
